Traxxas is looking for an experienced Quality Control Technician with a passion for technology and performance to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have:
Enthusiasm for automotive development and high-performance vehicles (cars, trucks, motorcycles, ATVs, boats, aircraft, etc.)
High school diploma and some college or Technical course work, or 2 years experience in a Quality Control testing environment.
Ability to:
Read and interpret engineering drawings, in metric units.
Measure and verify dimensions using inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gage, bore gage, gage pins, CMM, etc.
To sit, stand, walk, bend and lift up to 50 lbs
Experience using a CMM to measure parts
Understanding of the following manufacturing processes: Injection molding, die casting and vacuum forming.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word and Outlook).
A high level of hands-on mechanical ability.
Hands-on experience with radio control vehicles and/or full size vehicles (Please elaborate on this experience in your cover letter)
Specific Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Responsible for designated testing/inspection of all incoming product, in process products and finished goods in a timely fashion.
Reporting of all quality inspection reports.
Assists Engineering Manager with investigating customer complaints and other technical issues with products.
Coordinate and report all non conforming inspections and tests with respective purchasing and management personnel.
Working with Engineer on dimensional layouts for prototype products and investigating fitment issues.
Measurement of parts using manual CMM
Design and create unique test fixtures for prototype testing and quality inspections.
Implement new and update test procedures as needed.
Vehicle builds and testing as required.
