The Next Generation of Traxxas 2.4GHz Technology
Traxxas introduces the next generation of 2.4GHz radio system performance and it's available now in the Bandit VXL. The new Traxxas TQ 2.4GHz computerized High Output radio systems are equipped with superior Direct Sequence Spread-Spectrum (DSSS) technology, fully programmable features, and the convenience of patent-pending Traxxas Link™ automatic model recognition. Forget about crystals and frequency conflicts! The transmitter's easy-to-use design provides the instant, worry-free, turn-it-on-and-go driving fun you expect from Traxxas, while also delivering a full compliment of pro-level tuning features for those who wish to explore the expanded tuning possibilities. The Multi-Function knob on the face of the transmitter can be programmed to control a variety of functions such as steering exponential, steering and braking dual rate, and throttle trim. Access is through a simple menu tree controlled by a two-button interface. Other tuning options include end point adjustment, servo reversing, and sub trim adjustment. Top-level performance is what you expect from Traxxas, so the new TQ 2.4GHz High Output pumps out a strong, clear signal for optimum range. The 13ms frame rate and near zero latency results in instant steering and throttle response along with precise, smooth control.

The exclusive Traxxas Link™ automatic model recognition software is a breakthrough in "model memory" that makes it easier than ever to enjoy multiple Traxxas Link enabled models without juggling transmitters or scrolling through complex menus searching for model names. Each time the transmitter is bound to a new receiver, it saves that receiver in its memory, along with all the model settings assigned to that receiver. The next time that transmitter and any previously bound receiver (up to 20!) are switched on, the transmitter automatically recalls the settings for that receiver. Just power up the transmitter and the model you want to drive, and the settings for that model are dialed in immediately! Up to 20 Traxxas Link enabled receivers and 20 Traxxas TQ 2.4GHz High Output transmitters can be cross bound together making it possible to grab ANY transmitter and ANY vehicle from the group, switch them on, and start driving. It's perfect for when you have lots of vehicles you want to drive but don't want to have to keep up with which transmitter belongs to which model. 5-channel Micro Receiver
with Fail-Safe Security
The TQ 2.4GHz High Output's micro receiver fits easily into any vehicle, and features dual channel-1 outputs for easy installation in vehicles with dual steering servos—no Y-harness necessary! The integrated LINK button makes it fast and easy to bind the receiver, and the two-color LED indicates power-on and bind status for fool-proof control and convenience. Traxxas Link allows the receiver to recognize up to twenty TQ 2.4Ghz Traxxas Link enabled transmitters—just switch on and drive. In the event of signal loss due to an accidental switch-off or depleted batteries, the receiver will automatically return the throttle to neutral and hold the last commanded steering position. The Fail Safe programming is built-in and does not need to be set or activated.

Sealed Watertight Receiver Box
Bandit VXL’s receiver is fully enclosed for protection from the elements. The antenna and servo wires route neatly through a special watertight seal, and a custom blue O-ring seals the receiver box to protect the receiver from water. The receiver can be removed for service and aftermarket receivers can be installed without losing the sealing properties of the box. Patent pending.

This super-flexible, high-current, low-resistance 12-gauge, wire acts like a series of giant pipes, flowing energy in and out of the electronic speed control. The Traxxas Connector combined with Maxx cable is a better engineered solution for extracting all the power your battery has to give.

Factory fitted, heavy-duty steel turnbuckles allow camber and toe tuning. Bandit VXL is completely adjustable right out of the box to fine tune handling agility and high-speed performance. Captured rod ends provide unmatched durability and they simply won't pop off.

Tires and Wheels
Bandit VXL comes with stylish 2.2" Tracer™ black-chrome five-spoke wheels. Performance-designed Alias™ 2.2" rear tires feature a step-pin design and come pre-glued from the factory. Alias™ ribbed front tires offer superior directional control. The tire combination provides sure-footed traction on a variety of off-road terrains.

The industry standard 2.2" Tracer wheels allow for a wide array of accessory tires to be installed, including the Traxxas Anaconda 2.2" street tires for Bandit and other buggies. The look is unmistakeable.

Anaconda 2.2" Tires (sold separately)
If your favorite place to race is an asphalt jungle, transform your Bandit into a menacing street machine with available Anaconda 2.2" street treads. These sticky, high-traction tires are made for aggressive handling on paved surfaces. The proven Anaconda design features large tread blocks that provide incredible grip and long-wearing performance. Buy them pre-glued and ready to install for instant on-road action. With Bandit VXL’s amazing 70+mph performance, you’ll have the on-road touring crowd headed back to the workbench to try and figure out how to catch you.

Revo®-Spec Torque-Control™ Slipper Clutch
Revo technology is utilized to manage the increased power from the Velineon 3500 brushless motor. The Torque-Control slipper clutch uses special semi-metallic friction material and finned aluminum alloy pressure plates to dissipate heat and provide consistent yet adjustable traction control. The semi-metallic friction material remains stable across a wide temperature range to provide smooth, linear engagement you can count on, run after run. Spur gears can be removed and replaced without altering the slipper adjustment. (patent pending)

Included Optional Pinion Gear
The Bandit VXL reaches a scorching 70+mph top speed using an optional 33-tooth pinion gear and a 3-cell 11.1V Lithium-polymer battery pack (sold separately). Out of the box, the installed 26-tooth pinion gear is just right for all-around, on or off-road action. Installing the included optional 28-tooth pinion gear opens the door to 60+mph speeds.

Magnum 272™ Transmission
The Bandit VXL’s Magnum 272 transmission is assembled with new all metal gear internals riding on ultra-smooth sealed ball bearings. Combined with the smooth 48-pitch gears, power is delivered quietly to the durable telescoping U-joint driveshafts. The sealed gearbox protects the transmission components from dirt and rocks.

Planetary Gear Differential
The composite Traxxas planetary gear differential now features a steel ring gear with a nylon housing for long life.  It uses hardened steel internal gears for maximum strength during rigorous off-road bashing. This type of differential requires virtually no maintenance and its efficient design puts maximum tire-shredding torque to the wheels.

New Yokes with Telescopic Driveshafts
Bandit VXL features new drive yokes which are designed to provide maximum durability to withstand the extreme power of the Velineon Brushless Power System. The slider driveshafts are extremely durable, and they allow greater articulation for increased suspension travel.

Gray Nylon Composite Parts
The durable monocoque chassis tub is made from highest quality nylon composites. Many parts including the chassis, shock bodies, and transmission housing are molded in gray for a fresh high-tech look.

Powder Coated White Springs
White springs feature a race-tuned spring rate for more responsive handling and the long-lasting, white powder coated finish sets Bandit VXL apart from the pack.

Securely Mounted Electronics
The ESC and receiver are screwed to the chassis for ultimate mounting security. There’s no servo tape to loosen over time with dirt, heat, and collisions.

The new low-profile, aggressive Bandit VXL’s body comes fully trimmed and painted. The Bandit VXL ProGraphix body is available in red, blue, black, and silver. Digital High-Torque Waterproof Steering Servo
A race buggy needs a powerful steering servo for responsive performance. A Traxxas digital high-torque, ball bearing steering servo comes standard for precision control, quick response, and unmatched torque—all in a waterproof case. It has over 50% more torque than the Bandit's 2056 servo and is 25% faster! That's 125 oz-in torque, 0.16-second speed!

Oil-Filled Ultra Shocks™
Bandit VXL's oil-filled Ultra Shocks utilize X-ring technology for a perfect seal and super-smooth performance. They are fully tunable with a wide range of oils, springs, and pistons. Features include pressure bladders for air/oil separation and spring clips to precisely change the ride height and spring pre-load. They can be renewed in minutes with our inexpensive rebuild kits.

Bellcrank Steering
High-performance bellcrank steering system minimizes bump steer to increase cornering stability.

Suspension Tie Bar
The composite tie bar strengthens the front bulkhead and suspension arms for increased durability.

Secure Wing Mount
