Get your engine ready for exchange before you go see your dealer or return the engine to Traxxas. In order to be eligible, the engine must have the crankcase, piston, sleeve, connecting rod, cylinder head, backplate and carburetor, and all internal engine components. Remove and keep your EZ-Start® 2 drive unit or pull starter (if equipped), the header, clutch assembly, flywheel, and engine mount for installation on the new replacement engine.

Since TRX Pro.15 engine mounts, starters and exhaust systems do not work with the TRX 2.5R Racing Engine, we have prepared specially priced upgrade conversion packages to allow owners to easily install the new engine. The upgrade packages contain all the items necessary for a complete factory-style conversion. Depending on the application, the packages include items such as the engine mounts, linkage, exhaust header, pipe, and other required components specific to each model. Major components come pre-assembled and pre-adjusted. Just bolt them on. These packages are an incredible deal compared to the cost and headache of trying to research and acquire the parts separately on your own for the conversion. Purchase these upgrade kits from your local dealer, they are listed on the engine exchange form.
The complete EZ-Start® 2 system including the wiring, drive
unit, and control box can be purchased as part #5270.

If you decide to ship your exchange engine
to Traxxas, please include the following in
your package:
 • crankcase
• piston
• sleeve
• connecting rod
• cylinder head
• backplate
• carburetor |

Since we cannot be responsible for packages lost
in transit to Traxxas, be sure to insure your
package for the value equal to the retail cost
of a new engine ($200).
