Traxxas Resonator™ Resonator™ Dyno-Tuned Performance Pipes for Nitro 4-Tec
Traxxas Resonator aluminum tuned pipes are precision-engineered on the dyno to increase the power output of TRX Racing Engines. The Traxxas engineering team knows TRX Racing Engines better than anyone, so Resonator pipes deliver proven results that drivers can see, hear, and feel every time they pull the trigger. Resonator pipes for Jato feature R.O.A.R. legal stingers and come in single and dual-chamber versions. The single-chamber version (part #5483) increases bottom-end punch by nearly 20% between 10,000 and 15,000rpm and continues to pull strong with a 10% increase from 15,000 to 30,000rpm. The dual-chamber pipe provides an average 10% linear increase in power across the whole range with an 11% increase in peak power arriving at the top end of the rpm scale. It’s smooth power delivery is perfect for the race track. All Resonator pipes are fully polished to a beautiful mirror-chrome finish with a laser etched logo. Mounting hardware is included.

RECOIL PULL STARTER FOR THE TRX® 2.5: Use the TRX 2.5 recoil pull starter for racing applications where weight savings are critical. It is all new and engineered for long-lasting, trouble free operation. It includes a heavy-duty spring and cord. Installation requires the starter backplate (#5274) and starter shaft (#5277) (EZ-Start equipped motors already have these parts installed). If the engine was not originally equipped with a starter, then a different crankshaft is also required. Use Traxxas part 5219 (IPS) or 5221 (multi-shaft) crankshaft.

ALUMINUM ENGINE BACKPLATE:
The aluminum backplate replaces the EZ-Start drive unit on the TRX 2.5 Racing Engine. It allows more efficient fuel/air mixture flow through the crankcase and significantly reduces overall engine weight. It’s perfect for building that racing version of the Nitro 4-Tec or other racing model that is using the rear exhaust TRX 2.5 Racing Engine. Using the backplate requires an electric bump starter and should only be used on models with unobstructed flywheel access. If the engine was originally equipped with a starter, then a different crankshaft is also required. Use Traxxas part 5219R (IPS) or 5221R (multi-shaft) crankshaft.
